[Update: February 2023 Security Patch] Samsung Galaxy A73 Updates Tracker

In March 2022, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A73 smartphone with Android 12 OS pre-installed. The phone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it powers an octa-core processor based on the Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC. In the shooting department, the phone houses a massive 108MP quad rear camera and a 32MP front snapper on the front.

  • [February 21, 2023]: The One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy A73 comes with firmware version A736BXXU3CWB7. The new software update, now available in Malaysia and brings the February 2023 security patch.
  • [January 03, 2023]: The latest software update for the Galaxy A73 is currently rolling out in Malaysia. The new update bumps up the phone’s firmware version to A736BXXS2BVL3 with January 2023 Security Patch.
  • [August 4, 2022]: Samsung is spinning out a new update for the Galaxy A73 on firmware version A736BXXU2AVG3. The build bumps the security patch to August 2022. In addition, it also improves the stability of the camera and wireless connectivity features. As of now, the update is rolling out in some Asian countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
  • [June 24, 2022]: The June 2022 security patch for Galaxy A73 is now reaching out to India. The update resolves issues related to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the QR Code scanner, and more on firmware version A736BXXU1AVF3.
  • [June 3, 2022]: The Galaxy A73 is receiving a new update on firmware version A736BXXU1AVE3. The build brings the June 2022 security patch that is currently rolling out in Malaysia. The Android privacy patch will soon unfurl to more regions soon.

As the update is having a phase-wise rollout, it may take some time to reach all the units. Meanwhile, you can head to Settings > Software updates > Security updates to check the update manually. Also, we suggest you switch over to a WiFi network while flashing the update to avoid carrier data charges.
