[Update: January 2023 Security Patch for Xiaomi 12 Pro] Xiaomi 12 series Updates Tracker

Xiaomi ended the year 2021 on a good note with the launch of the Mi 12 series in the home country. The lineup includes three smartphones— Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, and 12X. Needless to say, the Pro variant is relatively better than the stand phone in terms of screen size and camera. But, both smartphones are fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset. Whereas, the Xiaomi 12X is the cheaper version run by Snapdragon 870 SoC. The trio comes pre-installed with Android 12 OS paired with MIUI 13 on top. Here is the list of updates the company has released for the series.

• [November 02, 2022]: Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Lite starts receiving the October 2022 Security Patch update. The global variant of Xiaomi 12 is receivign the new udpate via the firmware V13.0.10.0.SLCMIXM and the Xiaomi 12 Lite is getting V13.0.13.0.SLIEUXM in Europe.
• [September 28, 2022]: Xiaomi 12 Pro is getting the September 2022 security patch update in India. The build increases the system security on firmware version V13.0.4.0.SLBTWXM. Unfortunately, there are no more changes it carries.

• [September 22, 2022]: Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro is finally picking up the September 2022 security patch. The company is rolling out the update in the European region as of now, while more regions will get access to this build soon. The users can identify the update with firmware versions  V13.0.20.0.SLCEUXM and V13.0.20.0.SLBEUXM, respectively. Besides increasing system security, it does not carry any other changes.

• [September 1, 2022]: Xiaomi 12 Pro users in India are getting a new update for their smartphones. The build bumps the security maintenance to July 2022 via firmware version V13.0.6.0.SLBINXM. Besides increasing system security, the updates do not carry any other changes.

• [August 26, 2022]: The Xioami 12X is picking up a new software update in the global market. The build arrives on the firmware version V13.0.4.0.SLDMIXM which integrates the August 2022 security patch. • [August 16, 2022]: Xiaomi 12/12 Pro starts getting Android 13 Global Build under Mi Pilot Program. The firmware Global Stable V13.0.4.0.TLBMIXM is now available. The users who’re signed up for the Mi Pilot Build can install the new update by flashing this recovery ROM for Xiaomi 12 Pro. • [August 9, 2022]: Xiaomi is rolling out a new update for the Xiaomi 12 Lite smartphone. The update is live for the EEA units and comes with the firmware version number V13.0.7.0.SLIEUXM. It integrates the August 2022 security patch to the smartphone. The users running on V13.0.5.0 can download the incremental OTA update & install it. Other users might have to wait for the OTA update or download the full ROM.
• [August 9, 2022]: A new update with firmware version V13.0.37.0.SLCCNXM is rolling out for the Xiaomi 12. The build packs the August 2022 security patch which is currently available in China. Besides increasing system security, the update does not carry any other changes.

• [July 27, 2022]: Xioami 12 Pro is receiving a new update with firmware version V13.0.7.0.SLBMIXM. The build is available for the global units with July 2022 security patch. It increases the system security to ensure a safer user experience.

• [July 15, 2022]: The July 2022 security patch is now reaching out to the Xiaomi 12 smartphone. The update is rolling out in the European region with firmware version V13.0.19.0.SLCEUXM. Besides increasing the system security, the build does not bring any other minor or major changes.

• [July 12, 2022]: Xiaomi is rolling a new update for the Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone. It is live in Europe and bundles the July 2022 security patch. The update comes with the firmware version number V13.0.19.0.SLBEUXM. The users who are running on V13.0.18.0 can download and install the OTA update right away. Other users will be required to wait for the OTA update to reach their smartphone or download the recovery ROM.

• [June 16, 2022]: Xiaomi 12 is receiving the May 2022 security patch update in the European market. The build bears the firmware version V13.0.18.0.SLCEUXM and it increases the system security as well.

• [June 6, 2022]: The Xiaomi 12 Pro is receiving a new update on firmware version V13.0.5.0.SLBINXM. The build packs the May 2022 security patch and increases the system security. [Recovery ROM] [Apply for OTA]

• [May 27, 2022]: Xiaomi 12 Pro starts getting a new update in the European region. It brings the latest security patch update along with some other improvements. The update is rolling out via OTA and comes with the firmware version number V13.0.17.0.SLBEUXM. The update is live for all users and will take some time to reach your device. • [May 27, 2022]: Xiaomi 12 also starts getting a fresh update in the European region. It brings the latest security patch update and changes similar to the Xaiomi 12 Pro. The update brings the firmware version number V13.0.17.0.SLCEUXM and  is rolling out via OTA. The update isn’t limited to Mi Pilot users. • [February 24, 2022]: Xiaomi 12X is getting a new update via firmware version V13.0.13.0.RLDCNXM. It packs the January 2022 security patch along with other fixes and optimizations. Refer to the changelog below for precise details

• [February 3, 2022]: Xiaomi is releasing another update for Mi 12 Pro in China via the firmware number V13.0.23.0.SLBCNXM. The build does not arrive with any noticeable changes. Though it improves system security, optimizes its performance, and enhances the stability of the device.

• [January 25, 2022]: The Xiaomi 12 Pro is receiving a new update in China via the firmware version V13.0.21.0.SLBCNXM. The pack optimizes the system performance and improves its security and stability.

• [January 7, 2022]: A new software update is rolling out for the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro smartphones in China. It bears the PDA version V13.0.16.0.SLCCNXM and V13.0.16.0.SLBCNXM respectively.
